I have an 11yo daughter who has been on a three a day round of cephalexin (500mg) for an infection in her foot - ten day prescription with two days to go.
Our issue is that she can't go to sleep... multiple nights now - finally closed her eyes about 5am this morning.
I haven't seen this as a possible side effect - does anyone have any information to help??

I'd take her back to the doctor or, at the very least, call your pharmacist and let them know about her insomnia-type reaction. Most often, cephalexin will cause diarrhea or stomach problems, but I would still err on the side of caution and let someone know about the change in her sleeping. Good luck.
