Default Cartia XT - no longer on the market

Help!

I have been taking Cartia XT (Diltiazem) for many years & the company making it (ANDRX) has been bought out by WATSON & now they have withdrawn the drug from the market. My problem is that I have been having awful side effects with many of the other Diltiazems available. So much so that my cardiologist has even tried switching me to Verapamil, but I'm still feeling like I'm on a roller coaster. I can't live like this!

My medical problem is that I have Diastolic Dysfunction brought on by high blood pressure. I can't take beta-blockers because I also have asthma. I'm also taking 2 diuretics (Furosemide & Spironolactone) & an ARB Inhibitor (Cozaar).

Anyone else out there with an extreme sensitivity to these drugs? How did you solve this? Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!
