well...as you thought in your last post, giving up something like hash is almost entirely a matter of willpower. Cannabis is not a physically addicting substance, like morhine or methamphetamine, so in trying to kick, you don't have to worry about shakes and getting sick or or psychosis or anything like that. But cannabis can be quite habit-forming; even if your body isn't craving it, your mind is. If you are just concerned about the legality of what your smoking, I would suggest a number of alternative smoke blends like dagga or kanna or any number of "legal highs" if you feel the urge to load a bowl of something. If you are concerned about the adverse health effects of smoking anything, try excercise. The "runners high" often described by joggers is an actual high, caused by your body producing it's own cannabanoid-like chemicals that work on the same receptors as THC. It may not be as intense as smoking some hash, but it is there, however subtle, and a lot of former stoners I know have filled the weed gap with running and cycling. Finally, just don't give up. Don't try to quit with weed (or hash) in your house or redailly availiable. You may feel irratible for a couple of days and you may have trouble sleeping (mild sleep aids, like valarian or kava kava may help you sleep, but be careful not to transfer your habit, as any sleep aid can be abused). I hope this has helped. Kicking pot may seem daunting, but compared to most any other drug, you will be suprised how fast your percieved need of hash will dissapate. Stay strong...
