my mother has been prescribed generic endocet after her surgery. it is a yellow, oblong pill with E712 10/325 on the sides of the pill. she took a whole one and she said it was really strong so she said she will break in half or even quarters and that concerned me. is it okay for her to do that? ty ahead of time

It's OK to split the pill in half, but it reduces the effect of the pill. Your mother won't receive the full benifit that the pill can have. Yes, it's safe and yes, the other half can be stored for later useage.

It's safe since it's not a controlled release pill, halving it only cuts the dosage in half.
