can i take Benadryl with my Methadone? please help

hello,
i am currently taking methadone for pain, and i am having really bad hives from a skin reaction to dust after helping someone replace a furnace in my crawl space. is it okay for me to mix Benadryl with methadone?
any info would be appreciated.
