Default bisoprolol HCTZ 5/6.25 generic differences?

I have been taking bisoprolol/HCTZ 5/6.25 for nearly 10 years for hypertension. Usually I get a red round pill from Sandoz/Eon Labs. The last refill I got was a light blue round pill from Mylan. It dosen't maintain my blood pressure as well as the Sandoz/Eon version. Does this make sense? I've also found a web page called Drug Digest that indicates the Maylan version was off market January 28, 2005. Did I get some old stuff that has lost potency? Any light shed will be helpful.
