Default Back surgery

I am having my fourth back surgery in the morning. Can anyone tell me the name of the drug they give you to relax you before you go into the operating room. I'm thinking it starts with a v but I'm drawing a blank. I need an answer fast, I should have gotten on the forum sooner but have had so much to do.

Thank

That would be Versed (midazolam). It's in the Valium family but is MANY times stronger and has the rather neat side effect of giving you short term memory loss so you don't recall the nasty stuff! Good luck! Dennis (Goog).
