It depends on what side effects you are experiencing. He may be able to prescribe something to counteract the effects, or by possibly adjusting your dose, or he may prescribe you something else. If your meds are working you're usually better off staying on them, switching A/D's can be unpredictable. That's the bad thing about A/D's they can cause more problems with side effects then they do good, then docs start trying to alleviate the side effects and the next thing you know your on a major cocktail of assorted drugs and pin pointing where the problem is coming from becomes difficult.
If you can get off the
Prozac, you'll be better off all around, A/D's doctors seem to think are the magic answer to everything, and studies show they don't help over half the time, and of course you can kiss your sex life goodbye, and that's enough to cause depression in itself.
