Talking Appointment w/ SAMHSA Physician Tomorrow!!!!!

Hello, my name is Jessica, I'm 25, and I'm an addict. And, I almost made it 60 days.....

Ok, I have set up an appointment with a doctor, so that I can beat this opiate addiction. I went through a 7 day detox program that was hell. It was not a medical detox, but a "social" detox. You basically are cut off from the whole world. No news, no games, and no visitors except for at your AA or NA meetings. You sit in one small room all day and watch the same movies. The only time you go outside is to smoke. The doctor I have my appointment with is a certified SAMHSA Physician (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). I did exactly what Robert said and went to www.suboxone.com and found many SAMHSA Physicians in my area. I called everyone of them and the receptionists always sounded grumpy, except for the on I have my appointment with. She was telling me how Suboxone is a miracle drug as long as it is used properly. She was not the actual Dr., but she was the therapist. The office I will be going to using medication to help control the physical side of the addiction and therapy to help control the mental side of the addiction. Believe me, I have experienced both types of withdrawls, and it doesn't work with just one form of addiction counseling. In the "social" detox program you have therapist to help with the mental addiction but no medication to help with the physical withdrawls. In a "medical" detox, you have medication to help with the physical withdrawls, but not with the mental withdrawls. So, I am very excited to see this Dr. and Therapist tomorrow. The therapist was so up beat and so ready to help, that she actually wanted me to come in today, but I didn't have the cash to bring. So, tomorrow at 5:30, I will go in for my first evaluation. I hope everyone will pray for me and believe that I can beat this. I know I can beat it, I just think I need a little support. I will keep you updated on the status of my treatment.

Thank You and Godbless!!!
