I don't have seizures but I have some kind of anxiety where my whole body feels tense, almost sometimes twitchy. My Doctor gave me APO-GABAPENTIN for what I told him might be arestless leg syndrome, but really the problem is what I just mentioned above. Or so I think. I took my first APO-GABAPENTIN last night and all of the tension, twitchy anxiety feeling seems to be completely gone. I literally have been living in hell with a condition I could not explain; a condition I usually call an anxiety disorder.
Now my question is, is APO-GABAPENTIN known to help this strange condition of anxiety/twitchy/tension problem? Could this med possibly be the cure for my life long anxiety disorder that has completely ruined my life thus far?
One more question. What is the chances of me running into side effects if I continue this med? See I'm sensitive to meds.
Thank you kindly for reply!
Morphine and Apo-gabapentin
I just read on the drug info section that Morphine effects Apo-gabapentin in some way that I don't understand. I am taking 90 mg of Morphine everyday. Could someone here do a bit of investigation for me at the "Pill Finder" threads? Type in Apo-gabapentin and you will see that there is some interaction info for Morphine and Apo-gabapentin that I don't understand.
If I could get help with this post and the one I made just above, I would be sooooo grateful.
Well it's later on in the day, almost 3:00 PM my time and I'm still feeling better then I can ever remember. No exaggeration. Almost 20 years of trying different Meds for my anxiety problem and self medicating myself with drugs and alcohol; no hope, tried to kill myself 4-5 times in my late teens early 20's,; suffering with a strange anxiety where my whole nervous system seemed to be out of whack, literally suffering to the degree that it was agony just existing, (physical prob I think with nerves and of course something not fuctioning properly upstairs), and NOW, my Doctor gives me a med called Apo-gabapentin as I often complained of feeling like my nerves were twitching inside, (at times I would really have a physical twitch here and there), and I sware that maybe 30 minutes after my first pill, my life long disorder seems to be 100% gone! I'm so happy I could cry!
This drug is for epilepsy, but Doctors are using it for all sorts of anxiety disorders, social phobias, panic attack, psychotic anxiety, ect...
If you, OH READER, have been suffering with something like this for a while and nothing else helps, (antidepressants, benzo's ect...) this drug might do you wonders! It calms anxiety much better than the benzo's, well my experience, and is in no way habit forming!
PRAISE JESUS! If this drug continues to successfully cure my strange anxiety disorder, well, as I said, PRAISE JESUS!
Note to Admin. and Mods: Could you please get us some more smilies? The selection we have is wanting!
Hi Davy, I don't know much about gabapentin but my mom is on it for nerve pain from shingles and she says it has really helped her with her pain.
I am glad you have found something that has worked for you and just wanted to say that I hope it keeps working great for you in the future.
I too, Praise Jesus for Gabapentin. I've had lifelong anxiety and immediately had success with Gabapentin. If I had known about this drug, I never would have messed with benzodiazapines all those years. Glad to hear it works for you.
Relief for anus pain
I have been in a two year ordeal suffering with excruciating pain in the anus and no pain relief in sight. Recently a specialist prescribed apo-gabapentin and the pain has totally subsided (also novo-meloxicam). We are still embarking on what is causing the pain but in the interim there is relief!

I am recovering from shingles.Had it on my left breast all around to my spine.Lots of severe pain.My Dr. gave me Gabapentin but it didn`t seem to help during the worst phase. Now my skin has healed but I have pain when anything touches my skin. Very uncomfortable ,keeps me from sleeping. I tried the gabapentin again last night and DID sleep. I still feel a little better.
