If anyone takes the blood pressure medication Altace, have you had any breathing problems? I've been on it for a couple of years and I have started being short of breath. I'm undergoing tests for the breathing problem but nothing has been found yet and I was wondering about the Altace. That hasn't been mentioned but it does have the possibility of an allergic reaction happening while taking the drug, with the symptom of shortness of breath.

My concern with your shortness of breath, would be that this might be an indication of heart disease. The fact that your are on altace, makes me think you have hypertension. I do not know what other risk factors you have for heart disease, but I would be requested a stress test to be done to rule in/out coronary heart disease. Shortness of breath is a common sign of heart disease.
