Default Anyone reccomend a powerful sedative/relaxant?

K i'm already on Prozac and suffer from paranoia and anxiety alot (yes even indoors). I have had alot of trouble just trying to get to sleep or just trying to relax to get to sleep which has meant its taken me ages to end up sleeping as my heart is going so fast and I just get agitated/restless.

Can anyone reccomend an effective sedative/relaxant (one which is avaliable in the UK) which can help me here? and one that would of course be ok to take with an antidepressant (prozac).

Thankyou.

Honestly if you're suffering from paranoia while indoors in your own home then you really need the direction of a doctor.

There are lots of anti-anxiety medications like benzos but they are very addictive.

Your requirement for something powerful concerns me. You need to be speaking to someone other than people on a forum for "powerful" medications. Why does it have to be powerful?

Hope things work out for you. God bless.

Donald .... I'm not trying to judge you so please don't misunderstand what I'm saying. I just hate to suggest meds when a situation sounds like it's something we shouldn't be giving advice about. The paranoia thing makes me uncomfortable. I'm sure you understand.

There are meds like klonopin or valium for general anxiety ... these are strong benzos but they're very addictive. Xanax is also a benzo and usually prescribed for severe panic attacks. Ambien is a good sleep medication, it's not as addictive for most as say klonopin would be but it can cause memory loss and other side effects in some people.

You really should talk to your dr about tranquilizers and sleep meds with the symptoms you're talking about. It concerns me to talk about recommending specific meds when (1) I'm not a dr and (2) you're talking about symptoms beyond what are relatively normal.

If you were feeling some anxiety that is one thing. But if you are really suffering from severe paranoia that is totally out of my league and out of the league of other forum members. That is a specific psychiatric condition that requires qualified medical attention. That's just my opinion. Hope you understand and that helps. God bless.
