I'm trying to track down the name of a discontinued medication. Back in the late 70's early 80's I was given a medication for coldsores that worked great. It was in a small tube and was like Vaseline with sand in it, it tasted awful, but usually after one application, the cold sore was gone!
It was taken off the market because it caused cancer in lab rats. Any info would be most welcome.
