I have been finished with antidepressent therapy for about 2 years now, but I tried 5 or 6 of them (before settling on blessed
Wellbutrin) over the course of 3 or 4 years. Whenever the doctor and I realized that we had not yet found the proper medication, Doc would say, "Don't take anymore X. Tomorrow you should start taking Y." The first couple of times that I made such a quick switch it seemed as if it might be dangerous. Nevertheless, I followed the doctor's directions and it turned out fine. I never felt that the fast change caused any additional problems. Eventually, my chemicals rebalanced themselves, my emotions calmed down, my personality returned to normal (???) and I was able to discontinue all medication. Hang in there and good luck.
