| | Any taking Phentermine? Hello!
I recently spoke to my doctor about trying the diet prescription, Phentermine. Has anyone tried this drug and if so, what side effects did you experience? Did it work for you? As much as I'm desperate to lose weight, I'm a bit leery about the possible side effects of this medicine, so I'd really like to talk to someone--or several people--who have taken it. Any comments or thoughts?
Thanks! |

| | Hi HanDansMom
I talked my doctor into giving that to me for a couple of months so i could loose a few lbs.
It diddent take to long to loose, Because you dont want to anything while you are on it.and GO GO GO,It does make your anxiety high, but I only took it for a short time,Its a drug just like the rest of them,so be careful.
Good luck,Melinda |

| | phentermine Hey, I went to my dr. because i was trying to conceive. He told me that it might have something to do with the excess weight. I told him that i had been trying to drop the weight but that it was almost impossible. He prescribed phentermine to me and i tell you it's the best. I needed to lose 30 pounds and i did in 3 weeks, along with a few hrs. of exercise. Actually it wasn't intentionally exercise. I worked at a hotel as a housekeeper. so up and down the stairs and back and forth. It worked wonders. |

| | Thank you, Girls! I appreciate your input. I go today to my doctor's appointment to get the prescription. I hope everything works out well so that I can get it. The only things that might hold me back are the fact that I take Paxil and whether my insurance will cover the medicine. I know prescription diet pills can be a fortune, so we'll see what happens. I have about 90 pounds to lose to get back to my pre-marriage thin self. I've tried everything and I'll lose but gain it back. I hope this works. Wish me luck!! Thanks--Susan |

| | Phentermine full description If you are taking Phentermine once a day, take your dose in the morning. Because this medication may cause sleeplessness, avoid taking a dose late in the day. Take your last dose of Phentermine at least four to six hours before bedtime. Take this medication as prescribed. Do not take it more often or longer than directed. It is usually taken for 8 to 12 weeks. Use in combination with other appetite suppressant medicine is generally not recommended. Consult your doctor before such use.More info below: Phentermine full description

| | Hi All!
So far so good. The doc started me on it Friday morning. Insurance doesn't cover it, but it's only $34. I like it very much. Have lots of energy but my heart isn't pounding and my appetite is significantly decreased. Yeah!
Since no medicine is a miracle drug on it's own, I agreed to exercise 30 minutes five times a week, watch my eating and visit her once a month for blood pressure checks. I'm keeping a food and exercise journal and took my measurements. We'll see how it all goes!
Thanks,
Susan |

Just please be careful taking this medication with the paxil. Wouldn't take it for very long for sure. Paxil and amphetamines are a dangerous combination. I understand wanting to lose the weight. I have battled the same thing in my life. And I have taken amphetamines too. It's still dangerous. God bless. |
