ok i got the info i needed from the website i was referred to... but now does anyone know if lortabs are considered under the opiate category as far as the drug tests are concern.... it only listed the basics opiates that they test for on the standard drug test...so if any one knows the answer thanks...i was under the impression from the research that i have done the lortab addiction is an opiate addicition...if they are not, according to website i will have do a different test for the lortab, right?

Lortab (hydrocodone) is an opiad, whether or not they test for it depends on the number of panels in the test, typically for pre-employment and random emp tests they don't check for hydrocodone. The standard test does check for codeine, morphine and heroin. Codeine and heroin metabolizes into morphine, a true opiate (from the opium poppy), where as hydro and oxy are synthetic opiades and require a specific test for. The Standard test mainly looks for illicit drugs. I guess you would need to know how many panels are in the test they use.
