 Analgin(Metamizole)
I request members to inform the names of countries where Analgin is still available. Although the originator company (sanofi- Aventis) withdrew the drug many decades back In devloped world, but it still markets in India. The two famous brands containing the same preparation (analgin 500 mg )NOVALGIN, BARALGAN-M- SELL 50 tablets per second in India.Although Analgin is prescrption only product, it is sold freely across the counter. Even Pakistan has deregistered this drug in Feb 2006.
Iam looking forward to meet groups which can put pressure on Indian Government and Sanofi- Aventis.
