Default Ambien as smoking cessasion

I just started taking Ambien a few days ago becasue I have horrilbe insomnia. NO worries, not getting up in the middle of the night and eating everything in sit or trying to drive my car!

I quit smoking as my New Year's resolution and I'm now on my 3rd day.....Yea! I've been taking as much Ambien as I can so I'll stay asleep through the hardest cravings. Does anyone know how bad this is hurting my body? My prescription is 10mg. I took two 10mg tablets last night before bed, and I took another two this morning. The only thing is it seemed to wear off really fast because here I am awake again and craving a cigeratte. Any suggestions? I only wanted to use Ambien like this for the next few days, not long term. Get myself through days 1 -5 and I'm good and well on my way to a smoke free life! Thanks again for all your help!
