My husband started taking Amaryl and since that time has developed a severe case of itching. (really bad itching) Could this drug be causing this?

Does your husband have a sulfa allergy? If so, that would be a contraindication to taking Amayrl. You should monitor him and watch for further reactions such as swelling. This could be a problem if it occurs in the face or neck area. To relieve the itching he can take diphenhydramine (Benedryl).
