Default Allergic to Paxil?

Recently I was rushed to the hospital because I was having episodes (every 5 or 10 minutes) where I couldn't breath in or out. In the ambulance I was given an IV of Benedryl which helped right away. While I waited in the ER I had 2 more episodes and was given Benedryl which worked again. I am Bipolar so I take a number of meds. The doctor who treated me guessed that I was having an allergic reaction to Paxil, which I no longer take. I can't find any info about allergic reactions to Paxil and if that wasn't the cause I sure don't want to walk around at risk because of something else I'm taking or eating or whatever! Does anyone have any knowledge of allergy to Paxil? Thanks.
