I heard that when you are taking the birth control pill, you could skip the 7 days and start a new pack right away so as to not get your period. I was just wondering if that was harmful. I would think it would be if you always did it, but say it was just for a few months or something. I am curious to know. Thanks

With many of the birth control packs, yes you can skip your period by starting a new pack on the 4th week, but it should not be done for more than 3 months in a row. Check with your doctor, get their opinion, and see if it is ok with them first. But yes you can cut back to just 4 periods a year, but I wouldn't recommend less than that.
