Default Aggrenox and ibuprophen

Help! My dad is taking Aggrenox due to a stroke 10 years ago. He is currently having a bad bout of sciatica that Tylenol isn't helping. We know that he needs something to help the inflamation but I can't get a straight answer from the doctor. My question is: Does anyone know if it's okay to stop his Aggrenox for 3-4 days AND give him ibuprophen to lessen the inflamation? I know he can't take them at the same time but I also know that they have stopped his Aggrenox many times for surgery or dental work for up to a week. Any thoughts?

Thank you,
Kathy

I will be lazy and copy and paste this one. Make sure to read the last sentence!

" The combination of regular use of Ibuprofen Oral with Aggrenox Oral should be avoided. Scheduled treatment with Ibuprofen Oral in patients receiving Aggrenox Oral may reduce the cardioprotective effects of Aggrenox Oral. When used on an occasional basis, the interaction between Ibuprofen Oral and Aggrenox Oral may be minimized by administering Ibuprofen Oral at least 8 hours before or 30 minutes after immediate-release Aggrenox Oral."
