I am on concerta right now, but I have experienced adderall from a friends perscription, and i have noticed a huge difference in my attendance and concentration. What is the best way to approach my doc about this? I want to ask him to put me on adderall, but i dont want him to think that im some drug addict whos pheening it. Any suggestions on how I should do this?

Best way it to just tell him/her how you feel. Explain that the concerta is not working as you would like and you have heard good things about adderall. Just ask him if you can do a 30 day trial of it. Ive just gone through the same thing. Had been on Ritilan for along time, then concerta, now im on adderall. you just have to be honest and open with your doctor. The only times they look at you like a drug addict is when you run out of meds early. Have excuses why you need more meds early and so on. If you were using your meds in an addictive fashion, you would not have enough to get through the month, and eventually your doctor becomes aware. Good luck!
