Would someone please explain how long it takes before you feel any effects from taking Adderall? I tried this serval years ago for one day (2 times 5 mg) but did not notice any difference. I have a terrible time concentrating in morning thru mid afternoon and hoped this might help. Is one supposed to feel the effects in an hour or so or does one have to be on it for several days before it becomes effective? I am wondering whether my one day trial was not long enough. Thanks

On a lot of things.

When I began adderall, my first dosage was 15mg. The effects were instantaneous! It was the absolute answer to my prayers. Those effects subsided after a few weeks. My body became immune perhaps.

I told the doctor who upped my dose. He explained that different people, for whatever reason, need different doses.

So I was upped and upped. I have been on 60mg a day, 30mg in the am and 30mg at 2:00pm. I have been on this dosage for 2 years and it has worked wonders for my attention span and concentration. I haven't had any drawbacks or feel as though it has stopped working so far!

I would try a higher dose. Believe me when I tell you, at the correct dose, you WILL KNOW IT!
