Take Benadryl at night to help you sleep.

What is your physican trying to treat by switching from effexor to adderall? Benedryl is a short term solution to sleep loss. It reduces/inhibits your reaching stage 4 of the sleep cycle which will leave you feeling tired and drowsy when you wake.

Have you done any checking on the long term side effects of adderall?
The last time I checked (they wanted to put my step-son on it) the side effects long term were not good. Not worth taking it in my opinion.

Kiana, I replied to your other post on adderall, I was waiting for your reply and the study you read about the long term effects.

Themazingjoe:

Adderall is a psychostimulant. Psychostimulants such as Dexedrine, Ritalin and Adderall are widely used as antidepressant adjuncts, even though their primary indication is for attention deficit disorders or narcolepsy. Sexual dysfunction is a common problem in adults using psychostimulants.
