Default ACE-inhibitor-associated cough

Does anyone know whether this type of cough is dose dependent?

The dry, irritating cough associated with ACE Inhibitors is not dose related and usually stops within 4 days of medication cessation.
The cough is a common side effect of these drugs, occurring in 5 to 20% of patients (more common in women).

You will find general information on
ANGIOTENSIN-CONVERTING ENZYME (ACE) INHIBITORS (Systemic)at

The cough is a side effect of the med. I had it for 3 months. Tell your doctor .... you need to get off of it....and on something else probably.

Default Dextromethorphan

My friend as long as I know Dextromethorphan belongs to a group of medicines called the opioids. It is used to suppress dry or painful cough. Coughing is a reflex response to irritation of the airways. It is useful for clearing mucus, dust and other particles from the throat and lungs. It is important because it reduces the amount of mucus, dust and bacteria in the airways that would otherwise make breathing difficult.
