My "12 hour" time release Oxycontin only lasts 8 hours! When I tell my rheumatologist he ups the milograms. How can I convince him to dose me 3 times a day instead?
Anyone else having this "8 hour" problem with this drug?

Thats what they say, but isnt the case.
Ask your doc to try working with you
on a different type of med.

i understand what u r going thru.
i am oxy 80 and they dont last 12hrs only 8 like u say
i went back to my doc and he put me on 2 oxy 80 3 times a day every 8hours. every person metabolism is different so you need to tell your doc that your oxy are not lasting and that you dont want more just them spread out.
