Someone suggested a small piece of Saran wrap over part of the patch.

Any thought on how to reduce the amount of drug released from the patch as it really helped her pain.
Thanks
Here it is 2008 & this popped up with my search. I hope you didn't do it yourself. You should have spoken to your DR to lower the dose, no one else. And you are not supposed to take Benadryl with it unless the DR advises you too. My 1st time with this was 2 days ago. the 1st 2 patches were taken off due to itching where the pad was. Then I left the 3rd on overnight. About 11 hr. later I had an itch near it & I swore it popped, so I took it off. This is some scary med. I don't know if I should put one back on or wait until tomorrow. I am calling the pharmacy now then the DR tomorrow. I am in horrible pain. I am itching all over with this patch (25) on, so it may have to be lowered. Now I feel like throwing up, my head is killing me I am still itching and its been off for 4 HRS..Plus I am on Percocet 10/325 for break through pain. I really don't know if the relief I get is worth all this worry with this patch. They just recalled many of them due to far to much going into a personal at once. Theres an OD for ya all. Ah No thanks. GO TO A DR. Don't screw around with your life.
