Actually, q.i.d. stands for 4 times a day. The others are: b.i.d. twice a day, q.4 h. every four hours, q.h. every hour, t.i.d. three times a day. q.d. stands for every day but is on dangerous abbreviations list and should be written out as "daily" or "every day". Same with q.o.d. which stands for every other day and should be written out. |
