yes, there is a way he can quit and continue to go to work. there is a drug called
suboxone that eleminates the withdrawl symptoms completely. there are a hand few of doctors that prescribe it, so you will have to look it up on the net to see which ones do in your area. the only draw back i can see to this approach is that eventually he will want to come off this drug also someday. however it is much safer than takeing the hydros or percs or whatever. and can be controlled easier when it is time to wean off of it.
