Don't feel bad I totally understand how hard it is to function when you feel this way. I literally broke down this summer.. only had a week left of summer classes but had to go home and make up my last two tests. Anxiety was literally driving me crazy and I just needed a break! I was having heart palpatations.. the whole bit. This lead me to believe I was going to end up a faliure and never find a job ..esp. one that would encompass stress. The best advice I can give you is give yourself frequent breaks. Accomplish one task at a time, do things slowly, make yourself notes (I would forget things and couldn't process huge amounts of info at one time.. i.e. I couldn't study for the life of me!) Take deep breaths, and I found warm tea comforting. The biggest thing is don't worry about everything.. we're all human, nobody is perfect, do the best job you can. If you have to.. tell your boss you're not feeling the best..explain if you have to. I used to be a perfectionist but I have a new outlook now.. try your hardest but not to the point where your health is compromised. I also found being around loved ones helped. My poor mother had to hear me complain about anxiety and headaches all summer! Bless her heart. But it helps to talk. You'll feel better soon I promise. [^] |
