Recall includes the following products/lot numbers/UPC numbers:

ISSUE: Healthy People Co. notified the public of a recall of the company’s dietary supplements sold under the brand names Healthy People Co. FDA lab analysis confirmed the presence of Sibutramine and Tadalafil, making these products unapproved new drugs. Sibutramine is known to substantially increase blood pressure and/or pulse rate in some patients and may present a significant risk to patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, or stroke. Tadalafil may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Consumers with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease often take nitrates.

BACKGROUND: Sibutramine is an FDA-approved drug for appetite suppression for the treatment of obesity; however, Sibutramine was withdrawn from the U.S. marketplace. Tadalafil is an FDA-approved drug for the treatment of male Erectile Dysfunction (ED).

RECOMMENDATION: Customers in possession of the products listed above with matching the lot numbers should return any unused product for a full refund to the company directly. Customers can call 626-939-4132 M-F 9am-5pm (PST) for instructions.
