Neurogenic bladder

Neurogenic bladder is a urinary problem in which the bladder does not empty properly due to a neurological condition.

Causes
Common causes for neurogenic bladder include:
- Alzheimer's disease
- Multiple sclerosis
- Neuropathy
- Nervous system tumor
- Spinal cord injury
Symptoms
The bladder may empty spontaneously (incontinence) or may not empty at all (retention with leakage). The specific problem depends on the underlying neurological disorder.
