Breast reduction risks

Information

Question:

Is breast reduction surgery a risky procedure?

Answer:

All surgeries have some risk. Some complications that can occur with breast reduction surgery are bleeding, infection, and problems with the anesthesia. There also may be temporary bruising, swelling, some permanent scarring (which can often be hidden by a bra or bathing suit), loss of feeling in the nipple, and difficulty breastfeeding. You should discuss the surgery and risks with your doctor.
