Interactions between zyloprim(allopurinol) and Aluminum hydroxide (aluminum hydroxide)

allopurinol and aluminum hydroxide (Moderate Drug-Drug)

ADJUST DOSING INTERVAL: Aluminum-containing oral medications may decrease the absorption of allopurinol and reduce its therapeutic effect.

MANAGEMENT: Allopurinol should be administered at least one hour before or two hours after aluminum-containing medications.
