Interactions between zidovudine and Amphotec (amphotericin B cholesteryl sulfate)

Moderate Drug-Drug Interaction zidovudine and amphotericin B cholesteryl sulfate (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Concomitant administration of zidovudine and amphotericin B lipid complex has increased myelotoxicity and nephrotoxicity in animals. Theoretically, this interaction might occur with other amphotericin B drugs.

MANAGEMENT: If these drugs are used together, the patient's renal and hematologic function should be closely monitored.
