Interactions between vibra-tabs(doxycycline) and Aminolevulinic acid topical (aminolevulinic acid topical)

doxycycline and aminolevulinic acid topical (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Theoretically, photosensitivity reactions of actinic keratoses may be additively or synergistically increased in patients using other known photosensitizing agents during aminolevulinic acid or methyl aminolevulinate therapy.

MANAGEMENT: Pharmacologic response to photodynamic therapy should be carefully monitored. Patients should be advised to avoid exposure to sunlight or bright indoor light during the period between application of aminolevulinic acid or methyl aminolevulinate and photoactivation.
