ventavis and Acetazolamide Interactions

Interactions between ventavis(iloprost) and Acetazolamide (acetaZOLAMIDE)

acetaZOLAMIDE and iloprost (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Theoretically, iloprost may potentiate the hypotensive effect of vasodilators and antihypertensive agents. Iloprost is a synthetic analog of prostacyclin PGI2 and can dilate both systemic and pulmonary arterial vascular beds.

MANAGEMENT: Patients should be advised to avoid rising abruptly from a sitting or recumbent position and to notify their physician if they experience dizziness, lightheadedness, syncope, orthostasis, or tachycardia. Vital signs and blood pressure should be monitored regularly.
