vecuronium and Adrenocot Interactions

Interactions between vecuronium and Adrenocot (dexamethasone)

dexamethasone and vecuronium (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Corticosteroids may inhibit the action of non-depolarizing skeletal muscle relaxants. The mechanism is unknown. Data are available for pancuronium, tubocurarine, and vecuronium. Theoretically this interaction also could occur with other skeletal muscle relaxants as well.

MANAGEMENT: Patients should be closely monitored for altered neuromuscular blockade. Higher dosage of muscle relaxant may be required.
