valium and Alfentanil Interactions

Interactions between valium(diazepam) and Alfentanil (alfentanil)

diazepam and alfentanil (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Intravenous diazepam administered immediately before or after a large dose of alfentanil may cause hypotension secondary to vasodilation. With both oral and intravenous diazepam, additive central nervous system depression may prolong recovery.

MANAGEMENT: If diazepam and alfentanil must be used together, the patient should be monitored closely for altered hemodynamics.
