Interactions between ultane(sevoflurane) and Amiodarone (amiodarone)

amiodarone and sevoflurane (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Amiodarone may increase the effect of general anesthetics by its adrenergic blocking effects. Data have been conflicting; however, the risk of intraoperative complications such as arrhythmias, heart block, or pacemaker dependency may be increased.

MANAGEMENT: The patient's cardiorespiratory status should be closely monitored during surgery and until the effects of anesthesia have worn off.
