Interactions between tricor(fenofibrate) and Cyclosporine (cycloSPORINE)

cycloSPORINE and fenofibrate (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: The concomitant use of cyclosporine and fenofibrate may increase the risk of nephrotoxicity. Fenofibrate is primarily eliminated by the kidneys and accumulation may occur.

MANAGEMENT: The manufacturer recommends caution during concomitant administration. Renal function should be closely monitored and the lowest effective dose should be used.
