Interactions between trandolapril and Adgan (promethazine)

Moderate Drug-Drug Interaction promethazine and trandolapril (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Concurrent administration of phenothiazines and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors may result in orthostatic hypotension, especially after initial doses of either agent. The mechanism may be related to additive hypotensive effects.

MANAGEMENT: Medical supervision and blood pressure monitoring is recommended after the first dose of either agent. Patients should be advised of the possibility of orthostatic hypotension occurring during concomitant therapy and to notify their physician if they experience symptoms such as dizziness or syncope.
