Interactions between strattera(atomoxetine) and Alupent (metaproterenol)

metaproterenol and atomoxetine (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Atomoxetine can potentiate the cardiovascular effects of beta adrenergic agonists, particularly during initial coadministration. Atomoxetine possesses peripheral sympathetic activity and can increase blood pressure and heart rate, thus it may have additive effects with beta adrenergic agonists.

MANAGEMENT: Caution is advised if atomoxetine is used with beta adrenergic agonists. Pulse and blood pressure should be closely monitored.
