Interactions between serostim(somatropin) and Adrenocot (dexamethasone)

dexamethasone and somatropin (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Concomitant glucocorticoid therapy may inhibit the growth promoting effect of human growth hormone. The proposed mechanism is glucocorticoid inhibition of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.

MANAGEMENT: Patients receiving chronic glucocorticoid therapy should be monitored for potentially diminished therapeutic response to growth hormone treatment.
