Moderate Drug-Drug Interaction cholestyramine and hydrochlorothiazide (Moderate Drug-Drug)

ADJUST DOSING INTERVAL: Cholestyramine may significantly decrease the absorption of hydrochlorothiazide by binding with it in the gut.

MANAGEMENT: Hydrochlorothiazide should be administered at least four to six hours after cholestyramine. Patients should be monitored for altered efficacy because absorption may still be reduced, even with separation of doses.
