Using telbivudine together with peginterferon alfa-2a is generally not recommended. Combining these medications may increase the risk and/or severity of nerve damage. If necessary, you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. Let your doctor know if you develop numbness, burning, and/or tingling in the arms or legs, or you have difficulty walking.
