Interactions between mycamine(micafungin) and Afeditab cr (NIFEdipine)
NIFEdipine and micafungin (Minor Drug-Drug)
Coadministration with micafungin may increase the plasma concentrations of nifedipine. The exact mechanism of interaction is unknown but may involve inhibition of nifedipine metabolism, since micafungin has been shown to be a weak inhibitor of CYP450 3A in vitro. According to micafungin product labeling, nifedipine systemic exposure (AUC) and peak plasma concentration (Cmax) were increased by 18% and 42%, respectively, in the presence of micafungin at steady state compared to nifedipine alone. The clinical significance of these alterations is unknown.
