Interactions between midodrine and Ak con (naphazoline ophthalmic)

Moderate Drug-Drug Interaction naphazoline ophthalmic and midodrine (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: The use of midodrine may cause a significant increase in blood pressure when combined with peripheral or central vasoconstrictors. The mechanism is an additive or synergistic vasoconstriction due to the alpha adrenergic agonist activity of midodrine.

MANAGEMENT: Clinical monitoring of patient response and tolerance, including measurements of vital signs, is recommended if these products are used in combination.
