Interactions between kanamycin and Botox (botulinum toxin type A)
kanamycin and botulinum toxin type A (Major Drug-Drug)
MONITOR CLOSELY: The effect of botulinum toxin may be enhanced by neuromuscular blockers, aminoglycoside antibiotics, or other drugs that can interfere with neuromuscular transmission. The interaction is due to potentially additive neuromuscular blocking effects when these agents are used together.
MANAGEMENT: Caution is advised if concomitant administration is necessary. These drugs should be avoided in patients suspected of having botulinum toxin overdose or poisoning.
